"Piccadilly" - A work in progress

I'm currently working on a new piece, based on some photographs I took of Manchester Piccadilly Train Station.

I was travelling through Manchester Piccadilly station earlier this year and couldn't help but notice the similarities of the foyer of the train station and the polished prison floors.

The lights reflecting on the floor

I cast my mind back to my time in prison and the way the lights were reflecting on the polished floors and the couple of workman fixing light fixtures.

There was always workman on the wings of my prison block, fixing things that other inmates had smashed in a moment of madness.
